2.5D and 3D Cutting

Large laser cutter - engraving machine - new toy!

From January 2008 we now offer a remote cutting service using a state of the art laser cutter with a bed size of up to 1200 x 900mm. Cutting in materials up to 25mm thick, with fantastic accuracy and speed, we can turn out signs, name plates, building elevations, frameworks, patterns and any manner of other items in acrylic, abs, wood, veneer and card.

Information can be sent to us attached to emails (HPGL files (.plt) or jpeg, bmp, pdf, tif, dxf and others) along with a basic idea as to numbers, final colour and materials.

As an example, an architect might not wish to commission a full planning or development model but would instead like the floor plates, elevations and multiple repeats sections fabricated in easy to handle materials for later in-house assembly by their own staff. This approach would save valuable time and money from being spent on having staff produce repetitive and complex parts in the office environment.

3D cutting

Using high speed rotary cutting machines we can accurately reproduce almost any type of 3D drawing or 2.5D (stepped assemblies of straight cut sheets) suitable particularly for architectural models, for professional and students wishing a high degree of accuracy in their all important models. From full cuts in acrylic, ABS and PVC foamex, to the faintest and finest of patterns scored into clear acrylic for glazing details. We can import directly from drawing emailed to us, or we can construct the drawings quickly using the designer's own sketches and notes.

VINYL CUTTING

Self adhesive, easily applied vinyl letters and designs from 6mm to 550mm in height and single strip runs of up to 2500mm in length. A vast range of colours and finishes are available, some in stock, other to order, including frosted and metallic finishes. We can also produce flexible masking patterns for detailed, accurate spray finishes.

Drawings can be accepted in a wide range of formats including BMP, DFX, DWG, STL, EMF, WMF, PLT and others.
