CERAMICS

Another unusual aspect of our workshop is that we have our own fully programmable electric kiln which is available to anyone wishing to fire ceramics. Artists or those new to the craft can have single items, or multiples fired up to stoneware temperatures. The system can be used for bisque and glaze firing, has a max temp of 1300C and is fully programmable for ramp, temperature and soak.

We can also make slip-casting/press moulds from supplied originals and produce and fire slip-cast copies to order. Alternatively we can fully design, sculpt, mould, reproduce, fire and finish short production runs. please ask for details.

These images show items recently produced within the skills base at Studioscope for commercial sales. The ceramics service will be playing its part in both the educational side of the business, as well as in the marketing of The Magicscope, where production runs of the central characters will be used for publicity in advance of the film's release.
