ARTWORK & DESIGN SERVICES
Yet another area of our work completely aside from model making. That said, this one can play a vital part in designing display graphics and presentation materials for product launches, or for architectural schemes and their marketing. This service also ties nicely in with our vinyl sign service too, allowing for a constant in appearance throughout the marketing. This service involves the design and approval of the initial graphics and typesetting, right through to the delivery of the printed items. We use all the latest graphic programs including CS2, Quark, Dreamweaver and Adobe Pro for production through print on demand technology or even full colour separation litho-printing as seen on the project detailed below.
FIREWORK ART - 2005
Produced entirely within the Studioscope skills base during 2005, Firework art is one of the most unique books to have come about within recent years. Its presentation is widely accepted as being stunning and its subject - the graphic design of British fireworks from the 20th Century, has never been touched upon before in any form of publication. The challenge of this publication was in finding and cleaning the original images and then managing to present the graphics in a subtle and yet pleasing layout. Available through most good bookshops (although you might have to order) Amazon, Ebay and directly by following the links page on this site, this beautiful book presented many challenges in both layout and photography. All images were digitally photographed by Studioscope and then extensively image processed to remove all the burns, tears, holes and dirt. The book was designed and assembled in around 4 months (part-time working) and arrived from the printers well ahead of its schedule prior to the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawkes in 2005. This A4 format, soft back book of 208 pages, contains 235 superb full colour reproductions of the most evocative images in firework design. Also produced for Firework Art was all additional publicity materials including post cards, flyers, magazine adverts and posters.
ARTWORK REALISATION Artists need not be trapped within a given medium, or restricted to the materials and methods easily available to them. By using our expertise, materials and machinery we can assist in producing the most complex of artworks, structure and assemblies, so freeing the artist to concentrate on the design and intent. We have worked on a number of art projects, producing sculptures, sections, supports and display items to add to the final exhibit. We can design full mounting structures, including clear acrylic supports and help with designing and building specialised lighting and motion control apparatus. Where art is concerned anything is possible and we are here to help make that happen.
One recent project was for the artist Becky Shaw, for whom we created a highly complex 12 layer, fully assembled, clear acrylic structure with over 6000 component parts and heavy duty mounting plinth for its very successful exhibition at The Serpentine Gallery, London.
And here, another way in which we can assist artists and galleries....
